Mostly metal (of the Nightwish type) and goth, with some electronica and medieval music thrown in.
Dargaard, Corvus Corax are my favorites, but presently I also listen a lot to Within Temptations older CD's.
Ranger Matt: Trance is a type of electronica. Like most electronica it is all but extinct due to having download-savvy listeners.

Agreed.. It's for more interesting to discover music on your own instead of picking from songs played on radio or on MTV. That way you form your own tastes instead of being told what to like. A lot of 'hits' enjoy radio airtime just because they have been marketed well.

That was pretty recently, they've pretty much been going downhill for the past few years...But it's the Issues CD alone that makes them so good in my opinion.

hmm, i like a wide range of stuff. Green Day(i dont care what you think, and they are awesome live), linkin park(havent heard a bad song yet, well except for that jay-z crap, *Gag*), QUEEN, pearl jam, video game and movie soundtracks, metallica, mae, less than jake, blue october, pink floyd, pretty much anything but country...and im from oklahoma. cant stand the stuff. i really coudnt care less if its mainstream or not, if it appeals to me, i listen to it. i do hate MTV though...and yea, gotta throw classical and jazz in the mix as well, i am a trumpet player

I guess they're awesome live, but their not a real trio. If they're always going to have that goofy looking guitar player playing with them, they should include him in videos, etc.

Rock, new and old, but primarily alternative. Trance is also fun.

Rock, classical, rock, jazz, reggae, rock, folk, rock, ethnic music, electro, rock... so many thing to listen to. The only thing I can't stand is rap music (and those "nu metal" bands who makes heavy use of rap too).

Metal:
Gotta love the classics
Sabbath and Ozzy
Maiden
Priest
Van Halen
Pantera
Metallica (dont really listen to them anymore)
Some new bands r pretty good 2:
Children of Bodom
Iced Earth
Helloween
System Of A Down (Mesmerize was amazing but hipnotize wasnt that good)
Also gotta love the neoclassical and Death/Black metal
Yngwie
Satriani
Vai
Cradle of Filth
Arch Enemy
Old Mans Child
My Dying Bride
Opeth
Dimmu Borgir
Thats the best music in my opinion. Its nice to throw in the random Floyd, Zepplin or Queen song in there to mix it up a bit.
and btw Green Day, Simple Plan and all those new bands r actually commercial pop/punkish rock bands and calling them actual rock bands would b an insult to rock.
Oh and Linkin Park and Korn type bands r just horrible!
